21 Not every one that says to me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven: but only they who do the will of my Father who is in heaven.
22 many will cry out to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? have we not cast out devils in thy name? and in thy name have we not wrought many miracles?
23 and then will I make this declaration to them: I never knew you: depart from me ye that have practised iniquity.
24 therefore, whoever heareth these instructions of mine, and puts them in practice, I will compare him to the prudent man, who built his house upon a rock:
25 the rain descended, the floods came, the winds blew, and beat upon that house: but it fell not, for it was founded upon a rock.
26 but every one that heareth these instructions of mine, and practiseth them not, shall be compared to a fool who built his house upon the sand:
27 the rain descends, the flood rushes on, the winds blow, and beat upon the house: down it falls, and wide are its ruins.
