John 8:3-8

MNT(i) 3 when the Scribes and Pharisees had brought a woman who had been caught in the act of adultery. They made her stand in the middle of the court, and said to him. 4 "Rabbi, this woman has been found in the very act of adultery. 5 "Now Moses, in the Law, has commanded us to stone such creatures. But you, what do you say?" 6 (This they said to tempt him, so that they could bring a charge against him.) 7 But Jesus stooped down, and began to write on the ground with his finger. When they continued to question him, he raised himself and said to them, "Let the innocent man among you be the first to throw the stone at her." 8 Then he stooped down again, and again began to write on the ground.
