53 So from that day they plotted to kill him.
54 Jesus therefore no longer went about publicly among the Jews, but went away from there into the region near the desert to a town called Ephraim,
55 and there remained with his disciples. Now the Jewish Passover was near, and many people went up from the country to Jerusalem for purification before the Passover.
56 So they kept looking for Jesus and saying to one another, as they stood in the Temple, "What do you think—that he will not come to the feast at all?"
57 Now the chief priests and Pharisees had given orders that if any one knew where he was. he should give information, so that they might arrest him.
