37 And the Father who sent me, he has testified concerning me. You have neither heard his voice at anytime, nor have seen his form.
38 And you do not have his word remaining in you, because you do not believe in that man whom he sent for this.
39 You are searching the Scriptures because you think that in them you have everlasting life, and these are those which are testifying concerning me;
40 and you are not willing to come to me, in order that you may have life.
