MLV(i)
A woman from Samaria comes to dip-out water. Jesus says to her, Give to me some water to drink.
For his disciples had gone away into the city, in order that they might buy nourishment.
Therefore the Samaritan woman says to him, How is it that you, being a Jew, ask a drink from me, who is a Samaritan woman? (For Jews have no dealings together with Samaritans.)
Jesus answered and said to her, If you knew the gift of God and who it is that says to you, Give to me some water to drink; you would have asked him, and he would have given living water to you.
