MLV⁽ⁱ⁾ ²⁹ On the next-day he sees Jesus coming toward him and says, Behold, the Lamb of God, who is taking away the sin of the world! ³⁰ This one is he, concerning whom I said, A man is coming after me who has become before me, because he was first; then me. ³¹ And I did not know him, but in order that he should be manifested to Israel. I came immersing in water because of this. ³² And John testified, saying, I have seen the Spirit coming down like a dove from heaven, and it remained upon him. ³³ And I did not know him, but he who sent me to immerse in water, that one said to me, Upon whomever you see the Spirit coming down and remaining upon him, this one is he who immerses in the Holy Spirit. ³⁴ And I have seen, and have testified, that this is the Son of God.
