18 where they crucified him and two others with him, on this side and on that side and Jesus in the middle.
19 But Pilate also wrote a title and placed it upon the cross. Now it was written, Jesus the Nazarene, the King of the Jews.
20 Therefore, many of the Jews read this title, because the place where Jesus was crucified was near the city, and it was written in Hebrew, in Greek and in Latin.
21 Therefore, the high-priests of the Jews were saying to Pilate, Do not write, The King of the Jews, but, That man said, I am King of the Jews.
22 Pilate answered, I have written what I have written.
