MLV(i)
And his master saw that Jehovah was with him and that Jehovah made all that he did to prosper in his hand.
And Joseph found favor in his sight and he ministered to him. And he made him overseer over his house and all that he had, he put into his hand.
And it happened from the time that he made him overseer in his house and over all that he had, that Jehovah blessed the Egyptian's house for Joseph's sake. And the blessing of Jehovah was upon all that he had, in the house and in the field. 6 And he left all that he had in Joseph's hand and he knew nothing that was with him, save the bread which he ate. And Joseph was handsome and fine-looking.
And it happened, after these things, that his master's wife cast her eyes upon Joseph and she said, Lie with me. 8 But he refused and said to his master's wife, Behold, my master does not know what is in the house with me and he has put all that he has into my hand. 9 He is not greater in this house than I, nor has he kept back anything from me but you, because you are his wife. How then can I do this great wickedness and sin against God?
And it happened, as she spoke to Joseph day by day, that he did not listen to her, to lie by her, or to be with her.
And it happened, about this time, that he went into the house to do his work and there was none of the men of the house there inside. 12 And she caught him by his garment, saying, Lie with me. And he left his garment in her hand and fled and got out.
