And when Asa heard these words, and the prophecy of Oded the prophet, he made himself strong and removed the hateful idols out of the land of Judah and Benjamin; and out of the cities that he had captured from the hills of Ephraim. And he restored the altar of Jehovah that was before the porch of Jehovah.
And he gathered all Judah and Benjamin, and the strangers with them out of Ephraim, and Manasseh, and out of Simeon. For they had fallen to him in abundance from Israel when they saw that Jehovah his God was with him.
And they were gathered to Jerusalem in the third month of the fifteenth year of the reign of Asa.
And they sacrificed to Jehovah on that day, from the plunder they had brought in, seven hundred oxen and seven thousand sheep.
And they entered into the covenant to seek Jehovah the God of their fathers with all their heart and with all their soul.
And everyone who did not seek after Jehovah the God of Israel was put to death, from the small to the great, from man and to woman.
