Romans 4:2-5

KJV(i) 2 For if Abraham were justified by works, he hath whereof to glory; but not before God. 3 For what saith the scripture? Abraham believed God, and it was counted unto him for righteousness. 4 Now to him that worketh is the reward not reckoned of grace, but of debt. 5 But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness.
RKJNT(i) 2 For if Abraham was justified by works, he has something of which to boast; but not before God. 3 For what does the scripture say? Abraham believed God, and it was credited to him as righteousness. 4 Now to the one who works, his reward is not counted as a gift, but as his due. 5 But to the one who does not work, but believes in him who justifies the ungodly, his faith is counted as righteousness.
