6 oppresse not the straunger, the fatherles, & the wyddowe: shede not innocent bloud in thys place: cleue not to straunge goddes to your awne destruccion:
7 then wyll I let you dwell in this place, yee, in the land that I gaue afore tyme vnto youre fathers for euer.
8 But take hede: ye trust in lyinge tales, that begyle you & do you no good.
9 For when ye haue stollen, murthured, commytted aduoutry, & periury. When ye haue offred vnto Baal, folowyng straunge & vnknowne goddes shall ye be vnpunyshed?
10 Yet then come ye, & stande before me in this house, (which hath my name geuen vnto it) & saye. Tush, we are absolued quite, thoughe we haue done all these abhominacyons.
