6 But when thou mayest pray, enter into thy closet, and having closed thy door, pray to thy Father who is in secret, and thy Father who seeth in secret will reward thee openly.
7 And praying do not use vain repetitions as the heathen do: for they think they shall be heard in their much speaking.
8 Therefore be not like unto them: for your Father knows of what things you have need, before you ask him.
9 Therefore pray ye after this manner: Our Father who art in the heavens, let thy name be hallowed:
