7 And learning that He is from the jurisdiction of Herod, he sent Him up to Herod, being himself in Jerusalem in those days.
8 And Herod seeing Jesus, rejoiced exceedingly: for from a long time, wishing to see Him, because He was hearing about Him; and he was hoping to see some miracle wrought by Him.
9 And he asked Him with many words; and He responded to him nothing.
10 But the high priest and scribes stood by, accusing Him vehemently.
11 But Herod along with his soldiers having indeed treated Him with contempt, and mocked Him, putting on Him a scarlet robe, sent Him back to Pilate.
