Acts 4:1-6

Godbey(i) 1 And they speaking to the people, the priests and captain of the temple and the Sadducees rose up against them, 2 being grieved because they were teaching the people and preaching the resurrection of the dead through Jesus; 3 and they laid hands on them and put them in prison till the morrow; for it was already evening. 4 And many of those hearing the word believed, and the number of men was about five thousand. 5 And it came to pass on the morrow, the rulers and elders and scribes 6 assembled in Jerusalem, and Annas the high priest and Caiaphas and John and Alexander, and so many as were of the family of the high priest.
