AND one of the seven angels who had the seven vials came and spake with me, saying, Come; I will show thee the judgment of the great harlot, which sitteth upon many waters:
with whom the kings of the earth have committed fornication, and they who dwell in the earth have been made drunk by the wine of her fornication.
And he led me into the desert, in the spirit; and I saw a woman sitting on a beast of prey which was red,[Sumoqo.] full of names of blasphemy, (and) having seven heads and ten horns.
And the woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet,[Zachurith.] and golden with gold [Madhabo b'dhabo.] and precious stones and pearls; having a cup of gold in her hand, full of pollutions and uncleanness of her fornications [by which she hath polluted] the earth.
And upon her forehead the name was written, Mystery: Babel the Great, the Mother of Harlots and of the Abominations of the Earth.
