Nehemiah 9:2-37

ECB(i) 2 and the seed of Yisra El separate from all sons of strangers; and stand and spread hands for their sins and the perversities of their fathers: 3 and they rise in their station and call out in the scroll of the torah of Yah Veh their Elohim a fourth of the day; and a fourth they spread hands and prostrate to Yah Veh their Elohim. 4 And on the ascent of the Leviym, Yah Shua and Bani, Qadmi El, Sheban Yah, Bunni, Shereb Yah, Bani and Kenani rise and cry with a great voice to Yah Veh their Elohim: 5 and of the Leviym, Yah Shua and Qadmi El, Bani, Hashabne Yah, Shereb Yah, Hodi Yah, Sheban Yah and Pethach Yah say, Rise and bless Yah Veh your Elohim eternally and eternally: and blessed - the name of your honor - exalted above all blessing and halal. 6 You are he, Yah Veh alone; you worked the heavens - the heavens of the heavens and all their host; the earth and all thereon; the seas and all therein; and you enliven them all; and the host of the heavens prostrates to you. 7 You - Yah Veh Elohim, who chose Abram and brought him from Ur of the Kasdiy and set on him the name, Abraham; 8 and found his heart amenable at your face and cut a covenant with him to give the land of the Kenaaniy, the Hethiy, the Emoriy and the Perizziy and the Yebusiy and the Girgashiy - to give to his seed; and to raise your words; for you are just: 9 and see the humiliation of our fathers in Misrayim and hear their cry by the Reed sea; 10 and give signs and omens on Paroh and on all his servants and on all the people of his land: for you knew they seethed against them: and you worked yourself a name, as this day: 11 and you split the sea at their face so that they passed through midst the sea on the dry; and threw their pursuers into the deeps as a stone into the strong waters: 12 and you led them by day by a pillar of cloud; and by night by a pillar of fire, to give them light in the way wherein to go: 13 and you descended on mount Sinay and worded with them from the heavens and gave them straight judgments and true torahs, good statutes and misvoth: 14 and had them know your holy shabbath; and misvahed them your misvoth, statutes and torah, by the hand of Mosheh your servant: 15 and gave them bread from the heavens for their famine; and brought them water from the rock for their thirst; and said to them to go in to possess the land which you lifted your hand to give them. 16 And they and our fathers seethed and hardened their necks and hearkened not to your misvoth 17 and refused to hearken; and remembered not the marvels you worked among them and hardened their necks; and in their rebellion gave a head to return them to their servitude. But you are an Elohah of forgivenesses, charismatic and merciful, slow to wrath and of great mercy and forsook them not. 18 Also, they worked themselves a molten calf and said, This is your Elohim who ascends you from Misrayim; and works great scornings; 19 yet you in your abundant mercies forsook them not in the wilderness: neither turned the pillar of the cloud from them by day - to lead them in the way; nor the pillar of fire by night - to show them light and the way to go. 20 You gave also your good Spirit to have them comprehend and withheld not your manna from their mouth and gave them water for their thirst: 21 yes, forty years you sustained them in the wilderness so that they neither lacked; nor wore out their clothes nor swelled their feet. 22 And you gave them sovereigndoms and people and allotted them to the edges: and they possessed the land of Sichon and the land of the sovereign of Heshbon and the land of Og sovereign of Bashan: 23 and you abounded their sons as the stars of the heavens; and brought them to the land, concerning which you said to their fathers, to go in to possess it: 24 and the sons came in and possessed the land and you subdued at their face the settlers of the land - the Kenaaniy and gave them into their hands - with their sovereigns and the people of the land - to work with them as they pleased: 25 and they captured cut off cities and a fat soil and possessed houses full of all goods, wells hewed, vineyards and oliveyards and food trees in abundance: so they ate and satisfied and fattened and pleased themselves in your great goodness: 26 and they were rebellious and rebelled against you and cast your torah behind their backs and slaughtered your prophets who witnessed against them to turn them to you: and they worked great scornings: 27 and you gave them into the hand of their tribulators who tribulated them: and in the time of their tribulation they cried to you; and you heard from the heavens; and according to your abundant mercies you gave them saviours to save them from the hand of their tribulators: 28 and they rested; and returned to work evil at your face: and you left them in the hand of their enemies to subjugate them: and they returned and cried to you and you heard from the heavens; and many times you rescued them according to your mercies: 29 and witnessed against them to return them to your torah: and they seethe and hearken not to your misvoth; but sin against your judgments - which if a human work, he lives in them; and they gave a revolting shoulder and hardened their neck and hearkened not: 30 and for many years you draw them and witness against them by your Spirit in the hand of your prophets; and they hearkened not: so you gave them into the hand of the people of the lands. 31 and for sake of your great mercies you neither fully worked them over, nor forsook them; for you are a charismatic and merciful El. 32 And now, our Elohim El - the great, the mighty and the awesome - who guards covenant and mercy, diminish not from your face all the travail that found us - on our sovereigns, on our governors and on our priests and on our prophets and on our fathers and on all your people since the day of the sovereigns of Ashshur to this day. 33 And you are just in all you bring on us; for you work true but we have done wickedly: 34 and our sovereigns, our governors, our priests, or our fathers, neither work your torah, nor hearken to your misvoth and your witnesses which you witness against them: 35 for they neither serve you in their sovereigndom and in your great goodness that you give them; and in the large and fat land you give at their face, nor turn they from their evil exploits. 36 Behold, we are servants this day and the land you gave to our fathers to eat the fruit thereof and the good thereof, behold, we are servants therein: 37 and it abounds produce to the sovereigns whom you give over us because of our sins: and they reign over our bodies and over our animals at their pleasure; and we are in great tribulation.
