Lift an ensign in the land! Blast the shophar among the goyim! Hallow the goyim against her, hearken against her the sovereigndoms of Ararat, Minni, and Ashkenaz; muster an officer against her; ascend the horses as the shaggy cankerworms:
hallow the goyim against her with the sovereigns of the Maday, the governors and all the prefects and all the land of his reign.
And the land trembles and writhes: for every fabrication of Yah Veh rises against Babel to set the land of Babel a desolation without a settler.
The mighty of Babel cease to fight; they settle in their huntholds; their might withers; they became as women: they burn her tabernacles; they break her bars:
runner runs to meet runner and teller to meet teller to tell the sovereign of Babel that his city is captured at the end:
and that the passages are apprehended and the marshes burned with fire and the men of war are terrified.
For thus says Yah Veh Sabaoth Elohim of Yisra El: The daughter of Babel is as a threshingfloor; it is time to tread her: yet a little while, and the time of her harvest comes.
Nebukadnets Tsar the sovereign of Babel devours us; crushes us: he sets me an empty instrument; he swallows me up as a monster; he fills his belly with my pleasures; he thrusts me away.
My violence, and that of my flesh is on Babel, say the settlers of Siyon; and my blood on the settlers of Kesediym, says Yeru Shalem.
So thus says Yah Veh: Behold, I plead your plea, and avenge your avengement: and I parch her sea and dry her fountains:
and Babel becomes heaps - a habitation for monsters - a desolation and a hissing without a settler:
they roar together as whelps: they growl as whelps of lions.
In their heat, I place their banquets; and I intoxicate them so that they jump for joy and sleep an eternal sleep and waken not - an oracle of Yah Veh.
I bring them down as rams to the slaughter - as rams with he goats.
How Sheshach is captured! And how the halal of the whole earth is apprehended! How Babel becomes a desolation among the goyim!
The sea ascends on Babel - covered with the multitude of the waves:
her cities a desolation; a parched land; and a plain: a land wherein neither man settles nor a son of humanity passes therein.
And I visit on Bel in Babel, and from his mouth I bring forth what he swallowed: and the goyim flow together to him no more: yes, the wall of Babel falls.
My people, come from among her and rescue every man his soul from the fuming wrath of Yah Veh.
And lest your heart be tenderized, and you awe for the report heard in the land; a report comes in a year: and a year after the report, violence in the land - sovereign against sovereign.
