ECB⁽ⁱ⁾ ⁷ O Yah Veh, though our perversities answer against us, work this for sake of your name: for our apostasies abound by the myriads; we sin against you. ⁸ O the expectation of Yisra El, the saviour in time of tribulation! Why are you as a sojourner in the land? And as a caravan that spreads to stay overnight? ⁹ Why are you as a man dumbfounded - as a mighty who cannot save? Yet you, O Yah Veh, are among us; and we are called by your name; leave us not. ¹⁰ Thus says Yah Veh to this people, Thus they love to wander; they spare not their feet: so Yah Veh is not pleased in them; now he remembers their perversity and visits their sins. ¹¹ And Yah Veh says to me, Pray not for this people for their good.
