"And every navigator, and every one who is sailing at the place, and mariners and whoever are working on the sea, stand afar off, ¹⁸ and, observing the smoke of her conflagration, they cried, saying, 'Is there any like this great city?'" ¹⁹ And they cast soil on their heads, and cried, lamenting and mourning, saying, 'Woe! Woe! the great city, by which all who have ships on the sea are rich as a result of its preciousness, for in one hour it was desolated!'"
