Judges 6:17-22 And he said unto Him, `If, I pray You, I have found grace in Your eyes, then You have done for me a sign that You are speaking with me.

CLV⁽ⁱ⁾ ¹⁷ And he said unto Him, `If, I pray You, I have found grace in Your eyes, then You have done for me a sign that You are speaking with me. ¹⁸ Move not, I pray You, from this, till my coming in unto You, and I have brought out my present, and put it before You;' and he said, `I--I do abide till your return.. ¹⁹ And Gideon has gone in, and prepares a kid of the goats, and of an ephah of flour unleavened things; the flesh he has put in a basket, and the broth he has put in a pot, and he brings out unto Him, unto the place of the oak, and brings [it] nigh. ²⁰ And the messenger of Elohim said unto him, `Take the flesh and the unleavened things, and place on this rock--and the broth pour out;' and he does so. ²¹ And the messenger of Yahweh puts forth the end of the staff which [is] in His hand, and comes against the flesh, and against the unleavened things, and the fire goes up out of the rock and consumes the flesh and the unleavened things--and the messenger of Yahweh has gone from his eyes. ²² And Gideon sees that He [is] a messenger of Yahweh, and Gideon said, `Alas, Lord Yahweh! because that I have seen a messenger of Yahweh face to face!.
