CLV⁽ⁱ⁾ ²⁶ And Samuel said unto Saul, `I do not turn back with you; for you have rejected the word of Yahweh, and Yahweh does reject you from being king over Israel.. ²⁷ And Samuel turns round to go, and he lays hold on the skirt of his upper robe--and it is rent!" ²⁸ And Samuel said unto him, `Yahweh has rent the kingdom of Israel from you to-day, and given it to your neighbor who is better than you;" ²⁹ and also, the Pre-eminence of Israel does not lie nor repent, for He [is] not a man to be penitent.. ³⁰ And he said, `I have sinned; now, honor me, I pray you, before the elders of my people, and before Israel, and turn back with me; and I have bowed myself to Yahweh your Elohim.. ³¹ And Samuel turns back after Saul, and Saul bows himself to Yahweh;"
