Now then, I pray, take him up and cast him into the plot of ground, according to the word of the Lord. ²⁷ But when Ahaziah king of Judah saw it, he fled by the way of Beth Haggan. And Jehu pursued after him, and said, Slay him also. So one shot him in the chariot at the Ascent of Gur, which is by Ibleam. And he fled to Megiddo, and died there. ²⁸ And his servants put him on a chariot, and brought him to Jerusalem, and they buried him in his tomb in the City of David.
