CAB⁽ⁱ⁾ ²³ And Joram turned his hands and fled, and said to Ahaziah, Treachery, Ahaziah! ²⁴ And Jehu bent his bow with his full strength, and struck Joram between his arms, and his arrow went out at his heart, and he sank down upon his knees. ²⁵ And Jehu said to Bidkar his chief officer, Cast him into the portion of ground of Naboth the Jezreelite, for you and I remember, as we were riding on chariots after Ahab his father, that the Lord took up this burden against him, saying, ²⁶ Surely, I have seen yesterday the blood of Naboth, and the blood of his sons, says the Lord; and I will recompense him on this property, says the Lord. Now then, I pray, take him up and cast him into the plot of ground, according to the word of the Lord. ²⁷ But when Ahaziah king of Judah saw it, he fled by the way of Beth Haggan. And Jehu pursued after him, and said, Slay him also. So one shot him in the chariot at the Ascent of Gur, which is by Ibleam. And he fled to Megiddo, and died there.
