3 Then Judas, the one having delivered Him up, having seen that He was condemned, having regretted it, he returned the thirty pieces of silver to the chief priests and elders,
4 saying, “I sinned, having betrayed innocent blood.” And they said, “What is that to us? You will see.”
5 And having cast down the pieces of silver into the temple, he withdrew, and having gone away, hanged himself.
6 And the chief priests, having taken the pieces of silver, said, “It is not lawful to put them into the treasury, since it is the price of blood.”
7 And having taken counsel, they bought with them the potter’s field, for a burial place for strangers.
8 Therefore that field was called Field of Blood, to this day.
9 Then was fulfilled that having been spoken by the prophet Jeremiah, saying, “And they took the thirty pieces of silver, the price of the One having been priced, whom they set a price on by the sons of Israel,
