Mark 8:1-9

BLB(i) 1 In those days, of the crowd again being great and not having what they might eat, having summoned the disciples, He says to them, 2 “I am moved with compassion upon the crowd, because they continue with Me three days already, and have nothing that they might eat. 3 And if I shall send them away hungry to their homes, they will faint on the way. For some of them are come from afar.” 4 And His disciples answered Him, “From where will anyone be able to satisfy these with bread, here in this desolate place?” 5 And He was asking them, “How many loaves do you have?” And they said, “Seven.” 6 And He directs the crowd to recline on the ground. And having taken the seven loaves, having given thanks, He broke them and kept giving them to His disciples, that they might set before them. And they set it before the crowd. 7 And they had a few small fish. And having blessed them, He ordered these also to be set before them. 8 And they ate and were satisfied. And they took up seven baskets of fragments over and above. 9 And there were about four thousand. And He sent them away.
