And the Lord said to him in a vision, “Ananias!” And he said, “Behold me, Lord.” ¹¹ And the Lord said to him, “Having risen up, go into the street called Straight, and seek in the house of Judas the one of Tarsus named Saul, for behold, he is praying, ¹² and he saw in a vision a man named Ananias, having come and having put the hands on him, so that he might see again.” ¹³ But Ananias answered, “Lord, I have heard from many concerning this man, how many evils he did to Your saints in Jerusalem. ¹⁴ And here he has authority from the chief priests to bind all those calling on Your name.” ¹⁵ But the Lord said to him, “Go, for this man is My vessel of choice to carry My name before the Gentiles, and also kings, and the sons of Israel.
