36 Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly that God has made Him both Lord and Christ—this Jesus whom you crucified.”
37 And having heard, they were pierced to the heart and said to Peter and the other apostles, “Men, brothers, what shall we do?”
38 And Peter says to them, “Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.
39 For the promise is to you and to your children and to all those at a distance, as many as the Lord our God shall call to Himself.”
40 And he earnestly testified many other words and was exhorting them, saying, “Be saved from this perverse generation.”
41 Therefore those indeed having received his word were baptized, and on that day about three thousand souls were added.
