Acts 2:24-36

BLB(i) 24 whom God raised up, having loosed the agony of death, inasmuch as it was not possible for Him to be held by it. 25 For David says about Him: ‘I foresaw the Lord before me continually; because He is at my right hand, I should not be shaken. 26 Because of this my heart was glad, and my tongue rejoiced, and now also my flesh will dwell in hope, 27 for You will not abandon my soul into Hades, nor will You allow Your Holy One to see decay. 28 You have made known to me the paths of life, You will fill me with joy in Your presence.’ 29 Men, brothers, it is permitted me to speak with freedom to you concerning the patriarch David, that both he died and was buried, and his tomb is among us unto this day, 30 being therefore a prophet and knowing that God swore to him with an oath to set out of the fruit of his loins upon his throne. 31 Having foreseen, he spoke concerning the resurrection of the Christ, that neither was He abandoned into Hades, nor did His flesh see decay. 32 This Jesus God has raised up, to which we all are witnesses. 33 Therefore having been exalted at the right hand of God, and having received the promise of the Holy Spirit from the Father, He has poured out this which you are both seeing and hearing. 34 For David did not ascend into the heavens, but he himself says: ‘The Lord said to my Lord, “Sit at My right hand, 35 until I place Your enemies as a footstool of Your feet.”’ 36 Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly that God has made Him both Lord and Christ—this Jesus whom you crucified.”
