Matthew 27:29-31 καὶ (And) πλέξαντες (having twisted together) στέφανον (a crown) ἐξ (of) ἀκανθῶν (thorns), ἐπέθηκαν (they put it) ἐπὶ (on) τῆς (the) κεφαλῆς (head) αὐτοῦ (of Him), καὶ (and) κάλαμον (a reed) ἐν (in) τῇ (the) δεξιᾷ (right hand) αὐτοῦ (of Him); καὶ (and) γονυπετήσαντες (having bowed the knees) ἔμπροσθεν (before) αὐτοῦ (Him), ἐνέπαιξαν (they mocked) αὐτῷ (Him), λέγοντες (saying), “Χαῖρε (Hail), Βασιλεῦ (King) τῶν (of the) Ἰουδαίων (Jews)!”
