Luke 23:28-30

BIB(i) 28 στραφεὶς (Having turned) δὲ (then) πρὸς (to) αὐτὰς (them), ‹ὁ› (-) Ἰησοῦς (Jesus) εἶπεν (said), “Θυγατέρες (Daughters) Ἰερουσαλήμ (of Jerusalem), μὴ (not) κλαίετε (weep) ἐπ’ (for) ἐμέ (Me), πλὴν (but) ἐφ’ (for) ἑαυτὰς (yourselves) κλαίετε (weep), καὶ (and) ἐπὶ (for) τὰ (the) τέκνα (children) ὑμῶν (of you). 29 ὅτι (For) ἰδοὺ (behold), ἔρχονται (are coming) ἡμέραι (days) ἐν (in) αἷς (which) ἐροῦσιν (they will say), ‘Μακάριαι (Blessed are) αἱ (the) στεῖραι (barren), καὶ (and) αἱ (the) κοιλίαι (wombs) αἳ (that) οὐκ (never) ἐγέννησαν (did bear), καὶ (and) μαστοὶ (breasts) οἳ (that) οὐκ (never) ἔθρεψαν (nursed).’ 30 τότε (Then) ‘Ἄρξονται (They will begin) λέγειν (to say) τοῖς (to the) ὄρεσιν (mountains), “Πέσετε* (Fall) ἐφ’ (upon) ἡμᾶς (us),” Καὶ (and) τοῖς (to the) βουνοῖς (hills), “Καλύψατε (Cover) ἡμᾶς (us).”’
