Luke 13:7-9 εἶπεν (He said) δὲ (then) πρὸς (to) τὸν (the) ἀμπελουργόν (vinedresser), ‘Ἰδοὺ (Behold), τρία (three) ἔτη (years) ἀφ’ (throughout) οὗ (these) ἔρχομαι (I come) ζητῶν (seeking) καρπὸν (fruit) ἐν (on) τῇ (the) συκῇ (fig tree) ταύτῃ (this), καὶ (and) οὐχ (not) εὑρίσκω (do find any). ἔκκοψον (Cut down) οὖν (therefore) αὐτήν (it), ἵνα‿ (that) τί (why) καὶ (even) τὴν (the) γῆν (ground) καταργεῖ (should it use up)?’
