I. זִמְרָה noun feminine melody, song, in praise of ׳י — absolute ׳ז Ps 81:3 + 2 t.; זִמְרָת Exod 15:2; Ps 118:14; Isa 12:2, read זִמְרָתִ(יׅ (see DiEx SS); construct זִמְרַת Amos 5:23, on Gen 43:11 see below; —

1. of instrumental music וְזִמְרַת נְבָלֶיךָ Amos 5:23 (|| המון שִׁריך).
2. of singing ׳תּוֺדָה וקול ז Isa 51:3 as subject of song עֻזִּי וְזִמְרָתִי יָהּ (so read) Exod 15:2; Isa 12:2; Ps 118:14.
