אַשְׁמַנִּים (elative, Ges^{«GKC:85b»§§ 85b}, «GKC:133a»133a; on נּ see Id.^{«GKC:20a»§§ 20a}, «GKC:93ee»93ee) apparently noun [masculine] plural כַּמֵּתִים ׳בָּא Isa 59:10 perhaps: (we are) among the stout (RV lusty) like dead men, compare Di-Kit; or abstract in (actual) vigour (Buhl) > AV (after JosKi from אָשַׁם Hos 14:1 'be desolate'') in desolate places (other conjectures see (Che^Hpt Marti).
