proper name, of a location 1. 1Sam 14:2 district (?) near Gibeah (home of Saul), compare Buhl^{Geogr. 176}; ᵐ5 Μαγων, ᵐ5^L Μαγεδδω, (We thinks proper name not required, and proposes מִגְרָן (= ᵑ6 גֹּרֶן threshingfloor; so Bu, but word not in Hebrew; Klo, improbable, מִגְרָשׁ).

2. Isa 10:28, place north of Michmash (and Gibeah ), ᵐ5 Μαγεδω, perhaps modern ruin Makrun Di^{on the passage} Bd^{Pal 3. 121} Buhl^l.c.
