Mark 12:1-9

ACV(i) 1 And he began to speak to them in parables. A man planted a vineyard, and set up a hedge, and dug a wine vat, and built a tower, and leased it to farmers, and went on a journey. 2 And at the season he sent forth a bondman to the farmers, so that he might receive by the farmers from the fruit of the vineyard. 3 And having seized him, they beat him, and sent him away empty. 4 And again he sent another bondman to them. And that man, having stoned, they wounded in the head, and sent him away shamefully treated. 5 And again he sent another, and that man they killed, and many others, beating some, and killing some. 6 Therefore, still having his one beloved son, he also sent him to them, last, saying, They will be made ashamed by my son. 7 But those farmers said among themselves, This is the heir. Come, let us kill him, and the inheritance will be ours. 8 And having taken him, they killed him, and cast him outside of the vineyard. 9 What therefore will the lord of the vineyard do? He will come and destroy the farmers, and will give the vineyard to others.
