This is the man who teaches all men everywhere against the people, and the law, and this place. And besides he also brought Greeks into the temple, and has defiled this holy place. ²⁹ For they were men who saw Trophimus the Ephesian in the city with him, whom they supposed that Paul brought into the temple. ³⁰ And the whole city was moved, and there developed a running together of the people. And having taken Paul they dragged him out of the temple, and straightaway the doors were shut. ³¹ And while seeking to kill him, a report went up to the chief captain of the band, that all Jerusalem has been stirred up.
