Luke 4:22-29

ABU(i) 22 And all bore witness to him, and wondered at the words of grace which proceeded out of his mouth. And they said: Is not this Joseph's son? 23 And he said to them: Ye will surely say to me this proverb, Physician, heal thyself. Whatever we heard done in Capernaum, do also here in thy country. 24 And he said: Verily I say to you, no prophet is accepted in his own country. 25 But I tell you of a truth, there were many widows in Israel in the days of Elijah, when the heaven was shut up three years and six months, when there was a great famine throughout all the land; 26 and to none of them was Elijah sent, but unto Zarephath of Sidonia, to a woman that was a widow. 27 And there were many lepers in Israel, in the time of Elisha the prophet; and none of them was cleansed, but only Naaman the Syrian. 28 And all in the synagogue, when they heard these things, were filled with wrath. 29 And they rose up, and thrust him out of the city, and led him to the brow of the hill whereon their city was built, to cast him down headlong.
