⁴³ Ye have heard that it was said, "Thou shalt love thy neighbor, and hate thine enemy." ⁴⁴ But I say to you, Love your enemies, and pray for those who persecute you; ⁴⁵ that ye may become sons of your Father who is in heaven; for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust.

¹ Judge not, that ye be not judged. ² For with what judgment ye judge, ye will be judged; and with what measure ye mete, it will be measured to you. ³ And why dost thou look at the mote that is in thy brothers eye, and not perceive the beam in thine own eye? ⁴ Or how wilt thou say to thy brother, Let me take the mote out of thine eye; when, lo! the beam is in thine own eye? ⁵ Hypocrite! first cast the beam out of thine own eye; and then wilt thou see clearly to take the mote out of thy brothers eye.

¹⁰ But thou, why dost thou judge thy brother? And thou, too, why dost thou despise thy brother? For we shall all stand before the judgmentseat of God. ¹¹ For it is written, "As I live, saith the Lord, to me every knee shall bow, and every tongue shall give praise to God." ¹² So then every one of us will give account of himself to God.

²⁶ "Be angry, and sin not;" let not the sun go down upon your wrath;

³¹ Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamor, and evilspeaking, be put away from you, with all malice; ³² and be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God in Christ forgave you.

²⁶ If any one thinks that he is religious, and bridles not his tongue, but deceives his own heart, this mans religion is vain.

¹¹ Speak not against one another, brethren; he that speaketh against his brother, or judgeth his brother, speaketh against the law, and judgeth the law; but if thou judge the law, thou art not a doer of the law, but a judge. ¹² One is the Lawgiver and Judge, he who is able to save, and to destroy; but who art thou, that judgest thy neighbor?
