¹⁸ The construction of its wall was jasper. The city was pure gold, like pure glass. ¹⁹ The foundations of the city's wall were adorned with all kinds of precious stones. Each one of the gates was made of one pearl. The street of the city was pure gold, like transparent glass.

²² They came, both men and women, as many as were willing-hearted, and brought brooches, earrings, signet rings, and armlets, all jewels of gold; even every man who offered an offering of gold to the LORD.

In the midst of the throne, and around the throne were four living creatures full of eyes before and behind. ⁷ The first living creature was like a lion, and the second living creature like a calf, and the third living creature had a face like a man, and the fourth living creature was like a flying eagle. ⁸ The four living creatures, each one of them having six wings, are full of eyes around and within. They have no rest day and night, saying, "Holy, holy, holy is the Lord God of hosts, who was and who is and who is to come." ⁹ And when the living creatures give glory and honor and thanks to him who sits on the throne, to him who lives forever and ever, ¹⁰ the twenty-four elders fall down before him who sits on the throne, and worship him who lives forever and ever, and throw their crowns before the throne, saying, ¹¹ "Worthy are you, our Lord and God, to receive the glory, the honor, and the power, for you created all things, and because of your desire they existed, and were created."

¹⁰ Who can find a worthy woman? For her price is far above rubies.

³ You shall also be a crown of beauty in the hand of the LORD, and a royal diadem in the hand of your God.

¹¹ I decked you with ornaments, and I put bracelets on your hands, and a chain on your neck. ¹² I put a ring on your nose, and earrings in your ears, and a beautiful crown on your head. ¹³ Thus you were decked with gold and silver; and your clothing was of fine linen, and silk, and embroidered work; you ate fine flour, and honey, and oil; and you were exceeding beautiful, and you prospered to royal estate.

¹⁵ There is gold and abundance of rubies; but the lips of knowledge are a rare jewel.
