⁹ For yf thou shalt knoweledge with thy mouthe that Iesus is the Lorde, and shalte beleue with thyne herte that God raysed hym vp from death, thou shalte be safe.

² My brethren, count it excedyng ioye when ye fal into dyuers temptacyons, ³ for as muche as ye knowe howe that the triynge of youre fayth bryngeth pacience: ⁴ and let pacyence haue her perfect worke, that ye maye be perfecte and sounde, lackynge nothynge.

¹ To the chaunter, a songe of the children of Corah vpon almuth. In oure troubles & aduersitye, we haue founde, that God is oure refuge, oure strength and helpe. ² Therfore wyl we not feare though the earth fell, and though the hylles were caryed into the myddest of the sea. ³ Though the waters of the sea raged and were neuer so troublous, and thoughe the mountaynes shoke at the tempest of the same. Selah.

¹ The song of the steares. I lyft vp myne eyes vnto the hylles, from whence commeth my helpe. ² My helpe commeth euen from the Lord which hath made heauen and earth.

¹ Bvt in the meane season the righteous perysheth, and no man regardeth it in his herte. Good godly people are taken awaye, and noman consydreth it. Namely: that the righteous is conuayed awaye thorowe the wicked, ² that he him selfe myght be in reste, lye quietly vpon his bed, & lyue after his owne pleasure.

³¹ Caph. For the Lorde wyll not forsake for euer. ³² But though he do cast of, yet accordynge to the multitude of hys mercyes, he receyueth to grace agayne. ³³ For he doeth not plage, & cast out the chyldren of men from his herte.

³⁵ Heauen & earth shal perishe, but my wordes shal abide.

¹³ I can do al thinges thorowe the helpe of Christe whiche strengtheth me.

⁸ But the fearful and vnbeleuing, & the abhominable, & murtherers, & whoremongers, & sorcerers, & ydolaters, & al lyars shall haue their parte in the lake which burneth wt fyre & brymstone, which is the seconde death.

¹ The spirite of the Lorde God is with me, for the Lorde hath annointed me, & sent me, to preache good tydinges vnto the poore, that I myght binde vp the wounded hertes, that I myght preach delyueraunce to the captyue, and open the preson to them that are bounde: ² that I myght declare the acceptable yeare of the Lorde, and the daye of the vengeaunce of oure God: that I myghte comforte al them that are in heauynesse, ³ that I might geue vnto them that mourne in Sion bewtye in the steade of ashes, ioyful oyntment for syghing, pleasaunt rayment for an heauy mynde: That they might be called excellente in ryghteousnesse, a plantinge of the Lord for hym to reioyce in.

¹⁷ For the fygge trees shall not be grene, & the vynes shall beare no frute. The laboure of the olyue shalbe but lost, & the lande shall bringe no corne: the shepe shalbe taken oute of the fold & there shalbe no catel in the stalles. ¹⁸ But as for me, I wyll be glad in the Lorde, and wyll reioyce in God my sauyoure. ¹⁹ The Lord God is my strengthe, he shall make my fete as the fete of hertes: and he whiche geueth the vyctorye, shal bryng me to my hye places, synging vpon my psalmes.

¹⁹ Derely beloued auenge not youre selues, but geue roume vnto the wrathe of God. For it is wrytten: vengeaunce is myne, and I wyll rewarde sayeth the Lorde.

¹⁸ The Lorde is nye vnto them that are contryte in hert, and will helpe suche as be of an humble sprete.

³³ These wordes haue I spoken vnto you, that in me you myght haue peace. For in the worlde shall you haue tribulacyon: but be of good cheare. I haue ouercome the worlde.
