⁷ that is to say, prayse, honoure and immortalytye, to them whyche continue in good doynge and seke eternall lyfe. ⁸ But vnto them that are rebellious and disobey the trueth, and folowe iniquitie, shall come indignacion and wrath, ⁹ tribulacion and anguishe, vpon the souls of euerye man that doeth euyll: of the Iewe fyrst, and also of the gentyll. ¹⁰ To euery man that doth good, shall come prayse, honoure, and peace, to the Iewe fyrst, and also to the gentil. ¹¹ For ther is no parcialitie with God. But whosoeuer hath synned without lawe, ¹² shall perishe wythout lawe. And as many as haue synned vnder the lawe, shalbe iudged by the law. ¹³ For before God they are not ryghtuous whiche heare the lawe: but the doers of the lawe shalbe iustifyed. ¹⁴ For yf the Gentyls whiche haue no lawe do of nature the thinges contayned in the lawe: then they hauynge no lawe, are a law vnto them selues, ¹⁵ which shew the dedes of the lawe wrytten in theyr hertes: whyle theyr conscience beareth witnes vnto them, and also theyr thoughtes, accusyng one another, or excusynge ¹⁶ at the daye when God shall iudge the secretes of men by Iesus Christ accordynge to my Gospell.

¹ Let euery soule submit him selfe vnto the authoritie of the hygher powers. For there is no power but of God. ² The powers that be are ordeyned of God. Whosoeuer therfore resisteth power, resisteth the ordinaunce of GOD. And they that resiste, shall receyue to them selfe damnacyon. ³ For rulars are not to be feared for good workes, but for euyll. Wylte thou be wyth oute feare of the power? Do well then: and so shalte thou be praysed of the same. ⁴ For he is the minister of GOD, for thy welth. But and yf thou do euyll, then feare: for he beareth not a swearde for noughte, but is the minister of God, to take vengeaunce on them that do euyll. ⁵ Wherfore ye muste nedes obeye, not for feare of vengeaunce onelye, but also because of conscience. ⁶ And euen for thys cause paye ye trybute. For they are Goddes ministers, seruynge for the same purpose. ⁷ Geue to euerye man therfore hys dutye: Tribute to whom trybute belongeth: Custome to whom custome is due: feare to whome feare belongeth: Honoure to whom honoure pertayneth.

¹² For we can not fynde in oure hertes to make oure selues of the numbre of them, or to compare oure selues to them, whiche laud them selues, neuerthelesse while they measure them selues wyth them selues, and compare them selues with them selues, they vnderstande nought. ¹³ But we wyll not reioyce aboue measure: but accordynge to the quantitye of the measure, whiche God hath distrybuted vnto vs, a measure that reacheth euen vnto you. ¹⁴ For we stretche not oure selues beyonde measure, as thoughe we had not reacheth vnto you. For euen vnto you haue we come with the Gospell of Christe, ¹⁵ and we boste not oure selues out of measure in other mens labours. Yea, and we hope, when your fayth is increased amonge you, to be magnifyed accordynge to oure measure more largelye, ¹⁶ and to preache the Gospell in those regyons, whiche are beyonde you: and not to reioyce of that whiche is by another mans measure prepared already.

¹² We beseche you brethren, that ye knowe them, whiche laboure amonge you, and haue the ouersight of you in the Lord ¹³ and geue you exhortacyon, that ye haue them the more in loue for theyr workes sake, and be at peace wyth them.

²⁵ But he that doeth anye wronge, shall receiue for the wronge that he hath done, for there is no respect of persons wyth God.

³² Thou shalt ryse vp before the hoorehed, & reuerence the face of the olde man & dread thy god, for I am the Lorde.

² The powers that be are ordeyned of God. Whosoeuer therfore resisteth power, resisteth the ordinaunce of GOD. And they that resiste, shall receyue to them selfe damnacyon.

⁷ Aboue all thynges shewe thy selfe an ensample of good workes wyth vncorrupt doctryne wyth honesty,

¹² Honour thy father & thy mother, that thy dayes may be longe in the lande which the Lorde thy God geueth the.

³ that nothing be done thorowe stryfe or vaine glorye, but that in mekenes of mynde euerye man esteme other better then him selfe,

¹⁷ Honoure all men. Loue brotherlye felowship. Feare God, and honour the kynge.

¹⁰ Be kynde one to another with brotherlye loue. In geuynge honoure, go one before another.

¹² Therfore whatsoeuer ye woulde that men shoulde do to you, euen so do ye to them. Thys is the lawe and the Prophetes.
