⁶ Agayne, yf the watch man se the swearde come, and shewe it not with the trompet, so that the people is not warned: yf the swearde come then, & take eny man from among them: the same shall be taken awaye in his awne synne, but his bloude wyll I require of the watchmans hande.

²¹ Not euery one that sayth vnto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kyngdome of heauen: but he that doth the wyll of my father, which is in heauen. ²² Many wyll saye to me in that daye: Lord, Lorde, haue we not prophecyed thorow thy name? And thorow thy name haue cast out deuyls? And done many miraracles thorow thy name? ²³ And then wyll I knowledge vnto them. I neuer knewe you. Departe fro me, ye that worcke iniquyte.

³⁴ Then sayd Iesus: father forgeue them, for they wote not what they do. And they parted his rayment, and cast lottes.

¹⁷ And now brethren, I wote that thorow ignoraunce ye dyd it, as dyd also youre rulers.

¹ Dearly beloued beleue not euery sprete: but proue the spretes, whether they are of god or not, for many false prophetes are gone out into the worlde.

² Where no discrecyon is, there the soule is inclined to the thyng that is not good, and is swyft on fote, and offendeth.

⁵ Take hede vnto knowledge O ye ignoraunt be wyse in herte, O ye foles.

⁵ If eny of you lacke wysdome, let hym aske of him that geueth it: euen God, which geueth to all men indifferentlye, and casteth no man in the teeth: and it shalbe geuen him.

³ A wyse man seeth the plage, and hydeth hym selfe: but the folysh go on styll and are punysshed.

³⁰ And the tyme of this ignoraunce God regarded not. But now biddeth all men euery where repen

⁶ my people perish, because they haue no knowledg. Seinge then that thou hast refused vnderstanding, therfore wyll I refuse the also: so that thou shalt nomore be my preste. And for so moche as thou hast forgotten the lawe of thy God, I wyll also forget thy chyldren.

¹⁸ whyle they are blinded in their vnderstandynge, beynge farre from a godly lyfe, by the meanes of the ignorancy that is in them, and because of the blyndnes of their hertes:
