²⁵ And Ishmael his sonne was thirteene yeere olde, when the foreskinne of his flesh was circumcised.

¹⁶ Ye shall know them by their fruites. Doe men gather grapes of thornes? or figges of thistles? ¹⁷ So euery good tree bringeth foorth good fruite, and a corrupt tree bringeth forth euill fruite. ¹⁸ A good tree can not bring forth euil fruite: neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruite. ¹⁹ Euery tree that bringeth not forth good fruite, is hewen downe, and cast into the fire. ²⁰ Therefore by their fruites ye shall knowe them.

²⁶ But the Comforter, which is the holy Ghost, whom the Father wil send in my Name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, which I haue tolde you.

What sayest thou of thy selfe? ²³ He said, I am the voyce of him that cryeth in the wildernesse, Make straight the way of the Lord, as said the Prophet Esaias. ²⁴ Nowe they which were sent, were of the Pharises. ²⁵ And they asked him, and saide vnto him, Why baptizest thou then, if thou be not that Christ, neither Elias, nor that Prophet?

¹² I haue yet many things to say vnto you, but ye cannot beare them nowe. ¹³ Howbeit, when he is come which is the Spirit of trueth, he will leade you into all trueth: for he shall not speake of himselfe, but whatsoeuer he shall heare, shall he speake, and he will shew you the things to come.

¹ Bvt there were false prophets also among the people, euen as there shalbe false teachers among you: which priuily shall bring in damnable heresies, euen denying the Lord, that hath bought them, and bring vpon themselues swift damnation. ² And many shall follow their destructions, by whom the way of trueth shalbe euil spoken of, ³ And through couetousnes shall they with fained words make marchandise of you, whose condemnation long since resteth not, and their destruction slumbreth not.

¹⁸ I will raise them vp a Prophet from among their brethren like vnto thee, and will put my woordes in his mouth, and he shall speake vnto them all that I shall commaund him.

¹ If there arise amog you a prophet or a dreamer of dreames, (and giue thee a signe or wonder, ² And the signe and the wonder, which hee hath tolde thee, come to passe) saying, Let vs go after other gods, which thou hast not knowen, and let vs serue them, ³ Thou shalt not hearken vnto the wordes of the prophet, or vnto that dreamer of dreames: for the Lord your God prooueth you, to knowe whether ye loue the Lord your God with al your heart, and with all your soule.

⁴ And Iesus answered, and sayd vnto them, Take heede that no man deceiue you. ⁵ For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ, and shall deceiue many.
