⁹ Againe hee dreamed an other dreame, and tolde it his brethren, and saide, Behold, I haue had one dreame more, and beholde, the Sunne and the Moone and eleuen starres did reuerence to me.

¹ In the beginning God created the heauen and the earth. ² And the earth was without forme and void, and darkenesse was vpon the deepe, and the Spirit of God mooued vpon the waters. ³ Then God said, Let there be light: And there was light. ⁴ And God saw the light that it was good, and God separated the light from the darkenes. ⁵ And God called the Light, Day, and the darkenes, he called Night. So the euening and the morning were the first day. ⁶ Againe God said, Let there be a firmament in the mids of the waters: and let it separate the waters from the waters. ⁷ Then God made the firmament, and separated the waters, which were vnder the firmament, from the waters which were aboue the firmament: and it was so. ⁸ And God called the firmament Heauen. So the Euening and the morning were the second day. ⁹ God said againe, Let the waters vnder the heauen be gathered into one place, and let the dry land appeare. and it was so. ¹⁰ And God called the dry land, Earth, and he called the gathering together of the waters, Seas: and God saw that it was good. ¹¹ Then God said, Let the earth bud forth the bud of the herbe, that seedeth seed, the fruitfull tree, which beareth fruite according to his kinde, which hath his seede in it selfe vpon the earth: and it was so. ¹² And the earth brought foorth the bud of the herbe, that seedeth seede according to his kind, also the tree that beareth fruit, which hath his seed in it selfe according to his kinde: and God saw that it was good. ¹³ So the euening and the morning were the third day. ¹⁴ And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heauen, to separate the day from the night, and let them be for signes, and for seasons, and for dayes and yeeres. ¹⁵ And let them be for lights in the firmament of the heauen to giue light vpon the earth: and it was so. ¹⁶ God then made two great lights: the greater light to rule the day, and the lesse light to rule the night: he made also the starres. ¹⁷ And God set them in the firmament of the heauen, to shine vpon the earth, ¹⁸ And to rule in the day, and in the night, and to separate the light from the darkenesse: and God saw that it was good. ¹⁹ So the euening and the morning were the fourth day. ²⁰ Afterward God said, Let the waters bring foorth in abundance euery creeping thing that hath life: and let the foule flie vpon the earth in the open firmament of the heauen. ²¹ Then God created the great whales, and euery thing liuing and mouing, which the waters brought foorth in abundance according to their kinde, and euery fethered foule according to his kinde: and God sawe that it was good. ²² Then God blessed them, saying, Bring foorth fruite and multiplie, and fill the waters in the seas, and let the foule multiplie in the earth. ²³ So the euening and the morning were the fifte day. ²⁴ Moreouer God said, Let the earth bring foorth the liuing thing according to his kinde, cattel, and that which creepeth, and the beast of the earth, according to his kinde. and it was so. ²⁵ And God made the beast of the earth according to his kinde, and the cattell according to his kinde, and euery creeping thing of the earth according to his kind: and God saw that it was good. ²⁶ Furthermore God said, Let vs make man in our image according to our likenes, and let them rule ouer the fish of the sea, and ouer the foule of the heauen, and ouer the beastes, and ouer all the earth, and ouer euery thing that creepeth and moueth on the earth. ²⁷ Thus God created the man in his image: in the image of God created he him: he created them male and female. ²⁸ And God blessed them, and God said to them, Bring forth fruite and multiplie, and fill the earth, and subdue it, and rule ouer the fish of the sea, and ouer the foule of the heauen, and ouer euery beast that moueth vpon the earth. ²⁹ And God said, Beholde, I haue giuen vnto you euery herbe bearing seede, which is vpon al the earth, and euery tree, wherein is the fruite of a tree bearing seede: that shall be to you for meate. ³⁰ Likewise to euery beast of the earth, and to euery foule of the heauen, and to euery thing that moueth vpon the earth, which hath life in it selfe, euery greene herbe shall be for meate. and it was so. ³¹ And God sawe all that he had made, and loe, it was very good. So the euening and the morning were the sixt day.

¹³ And the Sunne abode, and the moone stood still, vntill the people auenged themselues vpon their enemies: (Is not this written in the booke of Iasher?) so the Sunne abode in the middes of the heauen, and hasted not to goe downe for a whole day.

²³ And he sayd, Wherefore wilt thou goe to him to day? it is neither newe moone nor Sabbath day. And she answered, All shalbe well.

¹ To him that excelleth. A Psalme of Dauid. The heauens declare the glory of God, and the firmament sheweth ye worke of his hands.

²⁶ If I did behold the sunne, when it shined, or the moone, walking in her brightnes,

¹ Praise ye the Lord. Praise ye the Lord from the heauen: prayse ye him in the high places. ² Prayse ye him, all ye his Angels: praise him, all his armie. ³ Prayse ye him, sunne and moone: prayse ye him all bright starres. ⁴ Prayse ye him, heauens of heauens, and waters, that be aboue the heauens. ⁵ Let them prayse the Name of the Lord: for he commanded, and they were created. ⁶ And he hath established them for euer and euer: he hath made an ordinance, which shall not passe. ⁷ Prayse ye the Lord from the earth, ye dragons and all depths: ⁸ Fire and hayle, snowe and vapours, stormie winde, which execute his worde: ⁹ Mountaines and all hils, fruitfull trees and all ceders: ¹⁰ Beasts and all cattell, creeping things and fethered foules: ¹¹ Kings of the earth and all people, princes and all iudges of the worlde: ¹² Yong men and maidens, also olde men and children: ¹³ Let them prayse the Name of the Lord: for his Name onely is to be exalted, and his prayse aboue the earth and the heauens. ¹⁴ For he hath exalted the horne of his people, which is a prayse for all his Saintes, euen for the children of Israel, a people that is neere vnto him. Prayse ye the Lord.

³⁰ And I will shewe wonders in the heauens and in the earth: blood and fire, and pillars of smoke.

¹⁸ Then said Ionathan to him, To morowe is the first day of the moneth: and thou shalt be looked for, for thy place shalbe emptie.

³ Blowe the trumpet in the newe moone, euen in the time appointed, at our feast day.

²³ And from moneth to moneth, and from Sabbath to Sabbath shall all flesh come to worship before me, saith the Lord.

¹² Then spake Ioshua to the Lord, in the day when the Lord gaue the Amorites before the children of Israel, and he sayd in the sight of Israel, Sunne, stay thou in Gibeon, and thou moone, in the valley of Aialon.

Sing ioyfully vnto God our strength: sing loude vnto the God of Iaakob. ² Take the song and bring forth the timbrel, the pleasant harpe with the viole. ³ Blowe the trumpet in the newe moone, euen in the time appointed, at our feast day. ⁴ For this is a statute for Israel, and a Law of the God of Iaakob. ⁵ Hee set this in Ioseph for a testimonie, when hee came out of the land of Egypt, where I heard a language, that I vnderstoode not. ⁶ I haue withdrawen his shoulder from the burden, and his handes haue left the pots. ⁷ Thou calledst in affliction and I deliuered thee, and answered thee in the secret of the thunder: I prooued thee at the waters of Meribah. Selah. ⁸ Heare, O my people, and I wil protest vnto thee: O Israel, if thou wilt hearken vnto me, ⁹ Let there bee no strange god in thee, neither worship thou any strange god. ¹⁰ For I am the Lord thy God, which brought thee out of the land of Egypt: open thy mouth wide and I will fill it. ¹¹ But my people would not heare my voyce, and Israel would none of me. ¹² So I gaue them vp vnto the hardnesse of their heart, and they haue walked in their owne cousels. ¹³ Oh that my people had hearkened vnto me, and Israel had walked in my wayes. ¹⁴ I would soone haue humbled their enemies, and turned mine hand against their aduersaries. ¹⁵ The haters of the Lord should haue bene subiect vnto him, and their time should haue endured for euer. ¹⁶ And God would haue fedde them with the fatte of wheat, and with honie out of the rocke would I haue sufficed thee.

¹ And there appeared a great wonder in heauen: A woman clothed with the sunne, and the moone was vnder her feete, and vpon her head a crowne of twelue starres.

¹⁶ God then made two great lights: the greater light to rule the day, and the lesse light to rule the night: he made also the starres.

¹⁹ And lest thou lift vp thine eyes vnto heauen, and when thou seest the sunne and the moone and the starres with all the host of heauen, shouldest bee driuen to worship them and serue them, which the Lord thy God hath distributed to all people vnder the whole heauen.

³⁰ And I will shewe wonders in the heauens and in the earth: blood and fire, and pillars of smoke. ³¹ The sunne shalbe turned into darkenesse, and the moone into blood, before the great and terrible day of the Lord come.

¹² And I behelde when hee had opened the sixt seale, and loe, there was a great earthquake, and the sunne was as blacke as sackecloth of heare, and the moone was like blood.

³ When I beholde thine heauens, euen the workes of thy fingers, the moone and the starres which thou hast ordeined,

³⁷ He shalbe established for euermore as the moone, and as a faythfull witnes in the heauen. Selah.
