THE DEATH OF ASA
And in the thirty-ninth year of his sovereigndom Asa sickens in his feet until his sickness is severe: yet in his sickness he seeks not Yah Veh, but the healers.

⁸ For you rescued my soul from death; my eyes from tears; my feet from falling:

⁴ Surely he bore our sicknesses and bore our sorrows: yet we machinated him plagued - smitten of Elohim and abased. ⁵ And he is pierced for our rebellions; crushed for our perversities: the chastisement of our shalom is on him; and with his lashes we are healed.

²⁶ who suffered much by many healers and spent all she had and benefited naught; and rather grew worse:

²⁶ and says, If in hearkening, you hearken to the voice of Yah Veh your Elohim and work straight in his eyes and hearken to his misvoth and guard all his statutes, I put none of these sicknesses on you, which I put on the Misrayim: for I - Yah Veh Raphah.

²⁰ he sends his word and heals them and rescues them from their pitfalls.

² bless Yah Veh, O my soul and forget not all his dealings ³ - who forgives all your perversities; who heals all your sicknesses; ⁴ who redeems your life from the pit of ruin; who crowns you with mercy and tender mercies;

²² A cheerful heart well-pleases as a cure; and a stricken spirit dries the bones.

⁶ Behold, I ascend health and healing and I heal them; and expose to them the abundance of shalom and truth:
