¹¹ For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith Jehovah, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you in your latter end a hope.

⁴ But he answering said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word which goes out through God`s mouth.

⁷ Hypocrites! well has Esaias prophesied about you, saying, ⁸ This people honour me with the lips, but their heart is far away from me; ⁹ but in vain do they worship me, teaching [as] teachings commandments of men.

¹⁷ recompensing to no one evil for evil: providing things honest before all men: ¹⁸ if possible, as far as depends on you, living in peace with all men; ¹⁹ not avenging yourselves, beloved, but give place to wrath; for it is written, Vengeance [belongs] to me, *I* will recompense, saith the Lord. ²⁰ If therefore thine enemy should hunger, feed him; if he should thirst, give him drink; for, so doing, thou shalt heap coals of fire upon his head. ²¹ Be not overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.

¹⁸ Little children, it is [the] last hour, and, according as ye have heard that antichrist comes, even now there have come many antichrists, whence we know that it is [the] last hour.

⁸ I am Jehovah, that is my name; and my glory will I not give to another, neither my praise to graven images.

⁸ Again the devil takes him to a very high mountain, and shews him all the kingdoms of the world, and their glory, ⁹ and says to him, All these things will I give thee if, falling down, thou wilt do me homage. ¹⁰ Then says Jesus to him, Get thee away, Satan, for it is written, Thou shalt do homage to [the] Lord thy God, and him alone shalt thou serve.

¹ Be ye therefore imitators of God, as beloved children, ² and walk in love, even as the Christ loved us, and delivered himself up for us, an offering and sacrifice to God for a sweet-smelling savour. ³ But fornication and all uncleanness or unbridled lust, let it not be even named among you, as it becomes saints; ⁴ and filthiness and foolish talking, or jesting, which are not convenient; but rather thanksgiving. ⁵ For this ye are [well] informed of, knowing that no fornicator, or unclean person, or person of unbridled lust, who is an idolater, has inheritance in the kingdom of the Christ and God. ⁶ Let no one deceive you with vain words, for on account of these things the wrath of God comes upon the sons of disobedience. ⁷ Be not ye therefore fellow-partakers with them;

⁵ For God is one, and [the] mediator of God and men one, [the] man Christ Jesus,

¹ Beloved, believe not every spirit, but prove the spirits, if they are of God; because many false prophets are gone out into the world.

¹ Ye shall make yourselves no idols, neither rear you up for yourselves carved image, or statue, nor shall ye set up a figured stone in your land, to bow down unto it; for I am Jehovah your God.

⁴ Thou shalt not make thyself any graven image, or any form of what is in the heavens above, or what is in the earth beneath, or what is in the waters under the earth: ⁵ thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them; for I, Jehovah thy God, am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the sons to the third and to the fourth [generation] of them that hate me,
