³ I testify that they gave according to their ability, and beyond their ability, by their own choice,

⁵ 'Take from among yourselves an offering for the LORD. Everyone whose heart is willing shall bring it as an offering for the LORD: gold, silver, and bronze;

²¹ and every person whose heart moved him and all whose spirits prompted them, brought an offering to the LORD for constructing the Tent of Meeting, for all its service, and for the holy garments. ²² All willing, men and women alike, brought all kinds of gold jewelry: pins, brooches, earrings, signet rings, and pendants. They offered these gifts of gold to the LORD.

²⁹ Each Israelite man and woman whose heart was prompted brought something as a freewill offering to the LORD for all the work which the LORD had commanded them to do through Moses.

⁵ gold for the golden things and silver for the silver things, for all the work by the hand of skilled craftsmen. Now who will offer willingly, consecrating himself today to the LORD?" ⁶ Then the leaders of the ancestral houses, and the leaders of the tribes of Israel, and the commanders of thousands and of hundreds, with the officers over the king's work, offered willingly;

⁹ Then the people rejoiced, for they offered willingly, because with perfect heart they offered willingly to the LORD: and David the king also rejoiced with great joy.

¹³ "Now, our God, we give you thanks, and we praise your glorious name. ¹⁴ But who am I, and what is my people, that we should be able to offer so willingly as this? For all things come from you, and we have given you of your own. ¹⁵ For we are aliens and vagrants in your presence, as were all of our ancestors. Our days on the earth pass away like shadows, and we have no hope. ¹⁶ O LORD our God, all this abundance that we have provided to build for you a house for your holy name is from your hand, and all of it is yours. ¹⁷ And I know, my God, that You try the heart and are pleased with uprightness; I, in the uprightness of my heart, have offered willingly all these things; and now I have watched with joy Your people who are present here offering willingly to You.

³ Your people will volunteer in the day of your power. In holy splendor, from the womb of the dawn, you will have the dew of your youth.

⁸ She has done what she could. She poured perfume on my body in preparation for my burial.

²⁹ So the disciples, each according to his ability, decided to send relief to the brothers living in Judea.

² For I testify about them that they are zealous for God, but not on the basis of knowledge.

¹⁷ For if I transact this voluntarily, I have a reward: but if involuntarily, an administration is entrusted to me.

² On the first day of every week, each of you should set aside a portion of his income, saving it up, so that when I come no collections will be needed.

¹¹ Now finish the work, so that your readiness to do it may be matched by your completion of it, according to your means. ¹² For if the eagerness is there, the gift is acceptable according to what one has, not according to what he does not have.

¹⁶ But thanks be to God, who put into the heart of Titus the same devotion I have for you. ¹⁷ For not only did he welcome our appeal, but he is eagerly coming to you of his own volition.

⁶ Consider this: Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously. ⁷ Each one should give as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or from compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.

¹⁵ What then has become of your blessing? For I can testify that, if it were possible, you would have torn out your eyes and given them to me.

¹³ For it is God who works in you to will and to act on behalf of His good pleasure.

¹³ I testify for him that he has worked hard for you and for those who are in Laodicea and Hierapolis.

⁸ We cared so deeply that we were delighted to share with you not only the gospel of God, but our own lives as well. That is how beloved you have become to us.

¹⁴ but I didn’t want to do anything without your consent, so that your contribution might be voluntary, not as an imposition.

¹¹ If anyone speaks, he should speak as one conveying the words of God. If anyone serves, he should serve with the strength God supplies, so that in all things God may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom be the glory and the power forever and ever. Amen.

² Be shepherds of God's flock that is among you, watching over it, not because you must but because you want to, and not greedily but eagerly, as God desires.
