¹⁶ And he shalbe thy spokesma vnto the people: he shall be thy mouth ad thou shalt be his God.

²⁰ Now then are we messengers in the roume of Christ: even as though God did beseche you thorow vs: So praye we you in Christes stede that ye be atone with God:

²² I beseche you brethren suffre the wordes of exhortacio: For we have written vnto you in feawe wordes:

⁴ He is a rocke and perfecte are his deades, for all his wayes are with discrecion. God is faithfull and without wekednesse, both rightuous and iuste is he.

¹ When Iesus was borne at Bethleem in Iury in the tyme of Herode the kynge. Beholde there came wyse me from the eest to Ierusalem ² saynge: Where is he yt is borne kynge of ye Iues? We have sene his starre in ye eest and are come to worship him.

⁴² The quene of ye south shall ryse at ye daye of iudgement with this generacion and shall condemne the: for she came fro the vtmost parties of the worlde to heare the wysdome of Salomon. And beholde a greater then Salomo is here.

²⁷ And he arose and wet on. And beholde a man of Ethiopia which was a chaberlayne and of grete auctorite wt Cadace quene of ye Ethiopias and had ye rule of all her treasure came to Ierusalem for to praye. ²⁸ And as he returned home agayne sittynge in his charet he rede Esay ye prophet ²⁹ Then ye sprete sayde vnto Phillip: Goo neare and ioyne thy selfe to yonder charet. ³⁰ And Philip ranne to him and hearde him rede ye prophet Esayas and sayde: Vnderstondest thou what thou redest? ³¹ And he sayd: how can I except I had a gyde? ²⁵ whom God hath made a seate of mercy thorow faith in his bloud to shewe ye rightewesnes which before him is of valoure in yt he forgeveth ye synnes yt are passed which God dyd suffre ²⁶ to shewe at this tyme ye rightewesnes yt is alowed of him yt he myght be couted iuste and a iustifiar of him which belevith on Iesus.

¹⁴ What shall we saye then? is there eny vnrightewesses with God? God forbyd.

⁶ But ye rightewesnes which cometh of fayth speaketh on this wyse. Saye not in thyne hert who shall ascende into heven? (that is nothinge els then to fetch Christ doune) ⁷ Other who shall descende into the depe? (that is nothinge els but to fetch vp Christ from deeth) ⁸ But what sayth the scripture? The worde is nye the even in thy mouth and in thyn herte. This worde is the worde of fayth which we preache.

⁵ Yf eny of you lacke wysdome let him axe of God which geveth to all men indifferentlie and casteth no man in the teth: and it shal be geven him.

¹⁷ Every good gyfte and every parfayt gyft is from above and commeth doune fro the father of light with whom is no variablenes nether is he chaunged vnto darcknes.

¹⁷ But the wisdom that is from above is fyrst pure then peasable gentle and easy to be entreated full of mercy and good frutes without iudgynge and without simulacio:

³ and they songe the songe of Moses the servaunt of god and the songe of the lambe sayinge. Gret and marvellous are thy workes Lorde god almyghty iuste and true are thy wayes kynge of saynctes.

³ I determined also assone as I had searched out diligently all thinges from the beginnynge that then I wolde wryte vnto the good Theophilus:

²² When Felix hearde these thinges he deferde them for he knewe very well of yt waye and sayde: when Lisias the captayne is come I will know the vtmost of youre matters.

²⁰ Brethre be not chyldre in witte. How be it as cocerninge maliciousnes be chyldre: but in witte be perfet.

¹⁷ For we are not as many are which choppe and chaunge with the worde of God: but even oute of purenes and by the power of God and in the sight of God so speake we in Christ.

¹² Epaphras the servaut of Christ which is one of you saluteth you and all wayes laboreth fervently for you in prayers that ye maye stonde perfect and full in all that is the will of God.

¹⁶ For all scripture geve by inspiracion of god is proffitable to teache to improve to amende and to instruct in rightewesnes ¹⁷ yt ye man of god maye be perfect and prepared vnto all good workes.

²⁴ but vnto the which are called both of Iewes and Grekes we preache Christ ye power of God and the wysdome of God. ²⁵ For the folishnes of God is wyser then me: and the weakenes of God is stronger then men. ²⁶ Brethren loke on youre callinge how that not many wyse men after the flesshe not many myghty not many of hye degre are called: ²⁷ but God hath chosen the folysshe thinges of the worlde to confounde the wyse. And God hath chosyn the weake thinges of the worlde to confounde thinges which are mighty. ²⁸ And vile thinges of the worlde and thinges which are despysed hath God chosen yee and thinges of no reputacion for to brynge to nought thinges of reputacion

²² Ye shall trouble no wedowe nor fatherlesse childe: ²³ Yf ye shall trouble the: they shall crye vnto me, ad I wyll surely heare their crye ²⁴ and then will my wrath waxe hoote and I will kyll you with swerde, and youre wyues shalbe wedowes and youre childern fatherlesse.

⁹ The lorde knoweth how to deliver the godly out of temptacion and how to reserve the vniuste vnto the daye of iudgement for to be punisshed:

⁶ heare vs lorde thou art a prynce of God amonge vs. In the chefest of oure sepulchres bury thy dead: None of vs shall forbydd ye his sepulchre yt thou shuldest not bury thy deade therein.

⁴⁰ Thou therfore shalt be ouer my house and acordinge to thy worde shall all my people obey: only in the kynges seate will I be aboue the.

³ but the lorde is faythfull which shall stablysshe you and kepe you from evyll.

¹² For ye eyes of ye Lorde are over ye righteous and his eares are open vnto their prayers. But ye face of the Lorde beholdeth the that do evyll.

²¹ Forthermoare, the Lorde was angrye with me for youre sakes and sware, that I shulde not goo ouer Iordane and that I shulde not goo vnto that good londe, which the Lorde thy God geueth the to enherytaunce. ²² For I must dye in this londe, and shall not goo ouer Iordane: But ye shall goo ouer and conquere that good londe

¹⁷ Then he came to him selfe and sayde: how many hyred servauntes at my fathers have breed ynough and I dye for honger. ¹⁸ I will aryse and goo to my father and will saye vnto him: father I have synned agaynst heven and before ye ¹⁹ and am no moare worthy to be called thy sonne make me as one of thy hyred servauntes.

²⁰ But ye lawe in the meane tyme entred in yt synne shuld encreace. Neverthelater where aboundaunce of synne was there was more plenteousnes of grace.

³² But when we are iudged of the lorde we are chastened because we shuld not be daned with the worlde.

¹⁵ This is a true sayinge and by all meanes worthy to be receaved that Christ Iesus came into the world to save synners of whom I am chefe.

⁸ Brynge forth therfore the frutes belongynge to repentauce.

¹⁹ Repent ye therfore and turne yt youre synnes maye be done awaye when the tyme of refresshinge commeth which we shall have of the presence of the Lorde

¹⁴ And a certayne woman named Lydia a seller of purple of the cite of Thiatira which worshipped God gave vs audience. Whose hert the Lorde opened that she attended vnto the thinges which Paul spake.

³⁰ And the tyme of this ignoraunce God regarded not: but now he byddeth all men every where repent

⁸ Drawe nye to god and he will drawe nye to you. Clense youre hondes ye synners and pourdge youre hertes ye waverynge mynded.

³⁰ In thi tribulacion and when all these thinges are come apon the, euen in the later dayes, thou shalt turne vnto the Lorde thy God, and shalt herken vnto his voyce.

¹⁷ God be thanked yt though ye were once the servauntes of synne ye have yet obeyed with herte vnto the forme of doctryne wher vnto ye were delyvered.

¹⁵ The Lorde thy God will sterre vpp a prophete amonge you: eue of thy brethern like vnto me: and vnto him ye shall herken ¹⁶ acording to all that thou desyredest of the Lorde thy god in Horeb in the daye when the people were gathered sayenge: Let me heare the voyce of my Lorde God nomoare nor se this greate fire any moare, that I dye not. ¹⁷ And the Lorde sayed vnto me: they haue well spoken, ¹⁸ I will rayse them vpp a prophett from amonge their brethern like vnto the ad will put my wordes in to his mouth and he shall speake vnto the al that I shall commaunde him. ¹⁹ And whosoeuer will not kerken vnto the wordes which he shall speake in my name, I will requyre it off him. ²⁰ But the prophete which shall presume to speake ought in my name which I commaunded him not to speake, and he that speaketh in the name of straunge Goddes, the same prophete shall dye. ²¹ And yf thou saye in thine hert, howe shall I knowe that whiche the Lorde hath not spoken? ²² When a prophete speaketh in the name of the Lorde, yf the thynge folow not nor come to passe, that is the thinge which the Lorde hath not spoken. But the prophete hath spoken it presumptuously: be not aferde therfore of him.

¹⁵ but both with him that stodeth here with us this daye before the Lorde oure God, and also with him that is not here with us this daye. ¹⁶ For ye knowe how we haue dwelt in the londe of Egipte, and how we came thorow the myddes of the nacions which we passed by. ¹⁷ And ye haue sene their abhominacios and their ydolles: wod, stone, siluer and golde which they had. ¹⁸ Lest there be amonge you man or woman kynred or trybe that turneth awaye in his hert this daye from the Lord oure God, to goo ad serue the goddes of these nacions: and lest there be amonge you some roote that bereth gall and wormwod, ¹⁹ so that when he heareth the wordes of this curse, he blesse him selfe in his hert sayenge: I feare it not, I will ther fore walke after the lust of myne awne hert, that the drounken destroye the thurstie. ²⁰ And so the Lorde will not be mercyfull vnto him, but then the wrath of the Lorde ad his gelousye, smoke agenst that man, ad al the curses that are written in this boke light vppo him, and the Lorde doo out his name fro vnder heauen,

²¹ Then sayde Iesus agayne vnto them. I goo my waye and ye shall seke me and shall dye in youre synnes. Whyther I goo thyther can ye not come. ²² Then sayde the Iewes: will he kyll him selfe because he sayth: whyther I goo thyther can ye not come? ²³ And he sayde vnto the: ye are fro beneth I am from above. Ye are of this worlde I am not of this worlde. ²⁴ I sayde therfore vnto you that ye shall dye in youre synnes. For except ye beleve that I am he ye shall dye in youre synnes.

⁸ But vnto them that are rebellious and disobey the trueth yet folowe iniquytie shall come indignacion and wrath ⁹ tribulacion and anguysshe vpon the soule of every man that doth evyll: of the Iewe fyrst and also of the gentyll.

¹⁴ And beholde ye are rysen vp in youre fathers stede the encrease of synfull men to augmente the ferse wrath of the Lorde to Israel warde.

¹² and sayde vnto him: frende how fortuned it that thou camest in hither and hast not on a weddyng garment? And he was eve spechlesse. ¹³ Then sayde the kynge to his ministers: take and bynde hym hand and fote and caste hym into vtter darcknes there shalbe wepinge and gnasshinge of teth.

⁵ But thou after thyne harde herte yt canot repet heapest ye togedder the treasure of wrath agaynste the daye of vengeauce when shalbe opened ye rightewes iudgemet of god

⁵ And they called vnto Lot and sayde vnto him: where are the men which came in to thy house to nyghte? brynge the out unto vs that we may do oure lust with them.

²⁴ Than the LORde rayned vpon Sodome and Gomorra brymstone and fyre from the LORde out of heaven ²⁵ and overthrewe those cyteis and all the region and all that dwelled in the cytes and that that grewe vpon the erth.

⁷ But this Er Iudas eldest sonne was wicked in the syghte of the LORde wherfore the LORde slewe him. ⁸ Than sayde Iudas vnto Onan: goo in to thi brothers wyfe and Marie her and styrre vp seed vnto thy brother. ⁹ And when Onan perceaued that the seed shulde not be his: therfore when he went in to his brothers wife he spylled it on the grounde because he wold not geue seed vnto his brother. ¹⁰ And the thinge which he dyd displeased the LORde wherfore he slew him also.

¹ And Nadab and Abihu the sonnes of Aaron toke ether of them his censor ad put fyre therein and put cens apo, and broughte straunge fyre before the Lorde: which he comaunded the not ² and there went a fyre out fro the Lorde and cosumed the and they dyed before the Lorde.

¹⁷ There shalbe no whore of the doughters of Israel, nor whorekeper of the sonnes of Israel

³² Which me though they knew the rightewesnes of God how that they which soche thinges commyt are worthy of deeth yet not only do the same but also have pleasure in them that do them.

⁴ And I herde another voyce from heven saye: come a waye from her my people that ye be not parttakers in her synnes that ye receave not of her plages.

⁷ When he sawe many of ye Pharises and of ye Saduces come to hys baptim he sayde vnto the: O generacio of vipers who hath taught you to fle fro the vengeauce to come?

¹⁸ For the wrath of God apereth from heven agaynst all vngodlynes and vnrightewesnes of me which withholde ye trueth in vnrightewesnes

⁶ Let no ma deceave you with vayne wordes. For thorow soche thinges cometh the wrath of God vpon the chyldre of vnbelefe.

⁶ which gave him silfe a raunsome for all men that it shuld be testified at his tyme

³ how shall we escape yf we despyse so great saluacio which at ye fyrst bega to be preached of ye lorde him silfe and afterwarde was cofermed vnto vs warde by the ye hearde it

³ Youre golde and youre silver are cankred and the rust of them shalbe a witnes vnto you and shall eate youre flesshe as it were fyre. Ye have heaped treasure togedder in youre last dayes:

²⁹ And at mydnyghte the Lorde smote all the firstborne in the lode of Egipte: from the firstborne of Pharao that satt on his seat, vnto the firstborne of the captyue that was in presone, and all firstborne of the catell.

²⁰ But God sayde vnto him: Thou fole this night will they fetche awaye thy soule agayne from the. Then whose shall thoose thinges be which thou hast provyded?

²⁵ that the one maye take the roume of this ministracion and apostleshippe from the which Iudas by transgression fell that he myght go to his awne place.

² for ye youre selves knowe parfectly that the daye of the Lorde shall come even as a thefe in the nyght. ³ When they shall saye peace and no daunger than commeth on the soden destruccion as the travalynge of a woma with childe and they shall not scape.

²⁹ Wherfore yf thy right eye offende ye plucke hym out and caste him from the. Better it is for the yt one of thy membres perisshe then that thy hole bodye shuld be cast into hell. ³⁰ Also if thy right honde offend ye cut hym of and caste hym from the. Better yt ys that one of thy membres perisshe then that all thy body shulde be caste in to hell.

²¹ yet hath he no rottes in him selfe and therfore dureth but a season: for assone as tribulacion or persecucion aryseth because of the worde by and by he falleth.

²⁴ Iesus then sayde to his disciples. If eny man wyll folowe me leet him forsake him sylfe and take vp his crosse and folowe me.

⁴⁰ And to him they agreed and called the Apostles and bet them and comaunded that they shuld not speake in ye name of Iesu and let them goo. ⁴¹ And they departed from the counsell reioysynge yt they were counted worthy to soffre rebuke for his name.

²⁵ and chose rather to suffre adversitie wt the people of God then to enioye the pleasurs of synne for a ceason

¹⁷ It is better (yf the wyll of God be so) that ye suffre for well doynge then for evyll doynge.

¹⁵ Se that none of you suffre as a murtherer or as a thefe or an evyll doar or as a busybody in other mens matters. ¹⁶ Yf eny man suffre as a Christe man let him not be ashamed: but let him glorifie god on his behalfe.

⁵² He putteth doune the myghty from their seates and exalteth them of lowe degre.

⁴⁵ It is written in the Prophetes yt they shall all be taught of God. Every man therfore that hath hearde and hath learned of the father commeth vnto me.

¹ Let every soule submit him selfe vnto the auctorite of ye hyer powers. For there is no power but of God.

⁵ Yf oure vnrightewesnes make the rightewesnes of God more excellent: what shall we saye? Is God vnrighteous which taketh vengeauce? I speake after the maner of me.

³⁴ For who hath knowen the mynde of the lorde? or who was his counseller?

¹⁶ For who knoweth the mynde of the Lorde other who shall informe him? But we vnderstonde the mynde of Christ.

¹¹ that is to saye in him in whom we are made heyres and were therto predestinate accordynge to the purpose of him which worketh all thinges after the purpose of his awne will:

¹⁹ Ye and leste thou lyfte vpp thyne eyes vnto heuen, and when thou seyst the sonne and the mone and the starres and what soeuer is contayned in heauen, shuldest be disceaued and shuldest bow thi selfe vnto them ad serue the thinges which the Lorde thy God hath distributed vnto all nacions that are vnder al quarters of heauen.

⁴⁶ And Mary sayde. My soule magnifieth the Lorde.

¹² Now we se in a glasse even in a darke speakynge: but then shall we se face to face. Now I knowe vnparfectly: but then shall I knowe even as I am knowen.

¹² and as a vesture shalt thou chaunge them and they shalbe chaunged. But thou arte all wayes and thy yeres shall not fayle.

⁸ Derely beloved be not ignorant of this one thynge how that one daye is wt the lorde as a thousande yeare and a thousand yeare as one daye.

⁵ and all the shrubbes of the felde be fore they were in the erthe. And all the herbes of the felde before they sprange: for the LORde God had yet sent no rayne vpon the erth nether was there yet any man to tylle the erth. ⁶ But there arose a myste out of the ground and watered all the face of the erth:

¹¹ In the .vi. hundred yere of Noes lyfe in the secode moneth in the .xvij daye of the moneth yt same daye were all the founteynes of the grete depe broken vp and the wyndowes of heave were opened ¹² ad there fell a rayne vpon the erth .xl. dayes and .xl. nyghtes.

⁹ And God sayd let the waters that are vnder heaven gather them selves vnto one place that the drye londe may appere: And it came so to passe.

²² And the childern of Israel went in thorow the myddest of the see vppon the drie grounde. And the water was a walle vnto them, both on their righthande ad on their lefte hande.

²⁸ ad the water returned and couered the charettes and the houseme: so that of all the hoste of Pharao that came in to the see after them, there remayned not one.

⁴ Pharaos charettes ad his hoste hath he cast in to the see.His iolye captaynes are drowned in the red see, ⁵ the depe waters haue couered them: thei soncke to the botome as a stone.

²⁴ for as the lyghtenynge that apereth out of the one parte of the heven and shyneth vnto the other parte of heven: Soo shall the sonne of man be in his dayes.

¹⁷ For behold I wil bringe in a floud of water apon the erth to destroy all flesh from vnder heaven wherin breth of life is so that all that is in the erth shall perish.

¹⁷ And the floud came .xl. dayes and .xl. nyghtes vppon the erth and the water increased and bare vp the arcke ad it was lifte vp from of the erth ¹⁸ And the water prevayled and increased exceadingly vppon the erth: and the arke went vppo he toppe of the waters. ¹⁹ And the waters prevayled excedingly above mesure vppo the erth so that all the hye hylles which are vnder all the partes of heaven were covered: ²⁰ eve .xv. cubytes hye prevayled the waters so that the hylles were covered. ²¹ And all fleshe that moved on the erth bothe birdes catell and beastes perisshed with al that crepte on the erth and all men: ²² so that all that had the breth of liffe in the nostrels of it thorow out all that was on drye lond dyed. ²³ Thus was destroyed all that was vppo the erth both man beastes wormes and foules of the ayre so that they were destroyed from the erth: save Noe was reserved only and they that were wyth hym in the arke. ²⁴ And the waters prevayled vppon the erth an hundred and fyftye dayes.

²⁴ Than the LORde rayned vpon Sodome and Gomorra brymstone and fyre from the LORde out of heaven

²³ And Moses stretched out his rodd vnto heauen, and the Lorde thondered and hayled so that the fyre ran a longe vppon the grounde. And the Lorde so hayled in the lode of Egipte, ²⁴ that there was hayle ad fyre megled with the hayle, so greuous, that there was none soch in all the londe of Egipte, sence people inhabited it. ²⁵ And the hayle smote in the londe of Egipte all that was in the felde: both man and beest And the hayle smote all the herbes of the feld and broke all the trees of the felde:

² And thinke on all the waye which the Lorde thy God led the this .xl. yere in the wildernesse, for to humble the ad to proue the, to wete what was in thine herte, whether thou woldest kepe his commaundmentes or no,

¹⁵ ad which led the in the wildernesse both greate ad terreble with firye serpentes ad scorpios ad thurste where was no water which brought the water out of the rocke of flynt:

¹⁷ Neverthelesse he lefte not him selfe with outen witnes in that he shewed his benefites in gevinge vs rayne from heaven and frutefull ceasons fyllinge oure hertes with fode and gladnes.

²¹ And the Lorde sayde vnto Moses: Stretch out thy hond vnto heaue ad let there be darcknesse vppon the londe of Egipte: eue that thei maye feale the darcknesse. ²² And Moses stretched forth his hande vnto heaue, ad there was a darke myst vppo all the lande off Egipte. iij dayes longe ²³ so that no ma sawe another nether rose vp fro the place where he was by the space of .iij. dayes, but all the childre of Israel had lighte where they dwelled.

²⁰ When at the last nether sunne nor starre in many dayes appered and no small tempest laye apon vs all hope that we shuld be saved was then taken awaye.
