2 Let the children of Israel encamp close to one another, by divisions, by standards, by the houses of their families, facing the tabernacle of the testimony. All around it the Israelites shall encamp.

Numbers 1:50

50 But thou shalt set the Levites over the tabernacle of the testimony, and over all the utensils thereof, and over all the things which are in it. They shall carry the tabernacle, and all its utensils, and they shall minister therein, and encamp about the tabernacle.
