²⁹ And he, willing to declare himself righteous, said unto Jesus, 'And who is my neighbour?'

¹⁰ And not only so, but also Rebecca, having conceived by one -- Isaac our father -- ¹¹ (for they being not yet born, neither having done anything good or evil, that the purpose of God, according to choice, might remain; not of works, but of Him who is calling,) it was said to her -- ¹² 'The greater shall serve the less;' ¹³ according as it has been written, 'Jacob I did love, and Esau I did hate.'

²⁸ As regards, indeed, the good tidings, they are enemies on your account; and as regards the choice -- beloved on account of the fathers; ²⁹ for unrepented of are the gifts and the calling of God;

²⁶ 'If any one does come unto me, and does not hate his own father, and mother, and wife, and children, and brothers, and sisters, and yet even his own life, he is not able to be my disciple;

³⁰ 'He who is not with me is against me, and he who is not gathering with me, does scatter.

¹³ Go, now, you who are saying, 'To-day and to-morrow we will go on to such a city, and will pass there one year, and traffic, and make gain;' ¹⁴ who do not know the thing of the morrow; for what is your life? for it is a vapour that is appearing for a little, and then is vanishing; ¹⁵ instead of your saying, 'If the Lord may will, we shall live, and do this or that;' ¹⁶ and now you glory in your pride; all such glorying is evil;

²³ And having turned unto the disciples, he said, by themselves, 'Happy the eyes that are perceiving what you perceive; ²⁴ for I say to you, that many prophets and kings did wish to see what you perceive, and did not see, and to hear what you hear, and did not hear.'

⁹ thus therefore pray you: 'Our Father, who is in the heavens, hallowed be Your name!

¹⁴ 'For, if you may forgive men their trespasses He also will forgive you -- your Father who is in the heavens; ¹⁵ but if you may not forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.

²¹ 'Not every one who is saying to me Lord, lord, shall come into the reign of the heavens; but he who is doing the will of my Father who is in the heavens.

⁴ For God did command, saying, Honour your father and mother; and, He who is speaking evil of father or mother -- let him die the death;

⁶ and he may not honour his father or his mother, and you did set aside the command of God because of your tradition.

¹⁹ honour your father and mother, and, you shall love your neighbor as yourself.'

¹⁰ for Moses said, Honour your father and your mother; and, He who is speaking evil of father or mother -- let him die the death;

¹⁹ the commands you have known: You may not commit adultery, You may do no murder, You may not steal, You may not bear false witness, You may not defraud, Honour your father and mother.'

³⁶ be you therefore merciful, as also your Father is merciful.

⁴⁶ 'And why do you call me, Lord, Lord, and do not what I say?

¹³ you call me, The Teacher and The Lord, and you say well, for I am; ¹⁴ if then I did wash your feet -- the Lord and the Teacher -- you also ought to wash one another's feet. ¹⁵ 'For an example I gave to you, that, according as I did to you, you also may do; ¹⁶ verily, verily, I say to you, a servant is not greater than his lord, nor an apostle greater than he who sent him; ¹⁷ if these things you have known, happy are you, if you may do them;

² honour your father and mother,

¹ As many as are servants under a yoke, their own masters worthy of all honour let them reckon, that the name of God and the teaching may not be evil spoken of; ² and those having believing masters, let them not slight them, because they are brethren, but rather let them serve, because they are stedfast and beloved, who of the benefit are partaking. These things be teaching and exhorting;

⁹ Servants -- to their own masters are to be subject, in all things to be well-pleasing, not gainsaying, ¹⁰ not purloining\'7bembezzling\'7d, but showing all good stedfastness, that the teaching of God our Saviour they may adorn in all things.

¹⁷ and if on the Father you do call, who without acceptance of persons is judging according to the work of each, in fear the time of your sojourn pass you,

¹⁷ to all give you honour; the brotherhood love you; God fear you; the king honour you. ¹⁸ The domestics! be subjecting yourselves in all fear to the masters, not only to the good and gentle, but also to the cross; ¹⁹ for this is gracious, if because of conscience toward God any one does endure sorrows, suffering unrighteously;

²¹ you are not able the cup of the Lord to drink, and the cup of demons; you are not able of the table of the Lord to partake, and of the table of demons;

²¹ for each his own supper does take before in the eating, and one is hungry, and another is drunk; ²² why, have you not houses to eat and to drink in? or the assembly of God do you despise, and shame those not having? what may I say to you? shall I praise you in this? I do not praise!

²⁷ so that whoever may eat this bread or may drink the cup of the Lord unworthily, guilty he shall be of the body and blood of the Lord: ²⁸ and let a man be proving himself, and so of the bread let him eat, and of the cup let him drink; ²⁹ for he who is eating and drinking unworthily, judgment to himself he does eat and drink -- not discerning the body of the Lord. ³⁰ Because of this, among you many are weak and sickly, and sleep do many; ³¹ for if ourselves we were discerning, we would not be being judged, ³² and being judged by the Lord, we are chastened, that with the world we may not be condemned;

³¹ and we have known that God does not hear sinners, but, if any one may be a worshipper of God, and may do His will, him He does hear;

¹⁵ and the evil spirit, answering, said, 'Jesus I know, and Paul I am acquainted with; and you -- who are you?' ¹⁶ And the man, in whom was the evil spirit, leaping upon them, and having overcome them, prevailed against them, so that naked and wounded they did flee out of that house,

¹¹ For there is no acceptance of faces with God,

²⁶ For such a chief priest did become us -- kind, harmless, undefiled, separate from the sinners, and become higher than the heavens, ²⁷ who has no necessity daily, as the chief priests, first for his own sins to offer up sacrifice, then for those of the people; for this he did once, having offered up himself;

¹² and the hireling, and not being a shepherd, whose own the sheep are not, does behold the wolf coming, and does leave the sheep, and does flee; and the wolf catches them, and scatters the sheep;

¹³ Have you not known that those working about the things of the temple -- of the temple do eat, and those waiting at the altar -- with the altar are partakers?

²¹ for the whole seek their own things, not the things of the Christ Jesus,

³⁸ and 'the righteous by faith shall live,' and 'if he may draw back, My soul has no pleasure in him,'

² feed the flock of God that is among you, overseeing not constrainedly, but willingly, neither for filthy lucre, but of a ready mind,

⁹ thus therefore pray you: 'Our Father, who is in the heavens, hallowed be Your name! ¹⁰ 'Your reign come: Your will come to pass, as in heaven also on the earth.

¹⁹ having gone, then, disciple all the nations, (baptizing them -- to the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit,

¹⁰ and all the multitude of the people were praying without, at the hour of the perfume.

²¹ Jesus said to her, 'Woman, believe me, that there does come an hour, when neither in this mountain, nor in Jerusalem, shall you worship the Father; ²² you worship what you have not known; we worship what we have known, because the salvation is of the Jews; ²³ but, there comes an hour, and it now is, when the true worshippers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for the Father also does seek such to worship him;

³⁰ And Cornelius said, 'Four days ago till this hour, I was fasting, and at the ninth hour praying in my house, and, lo, a man stood before me in bright clothing, ³¹ and he said, Cornelius, your prayer was heard, and your kind acts were remembered before God; ³² send, therefore, to Joppa, and call for Simon, who is surnamed Peter; this one does lodge in the house of Simon a tanner, by the sea, who having come, shall speak to you; ³³ at once, therefore, I sent to you; you also did do well, having come; now, therefore, are we all before God present to hear all things that have been commanded you by God.' ³⁴ And Peter having opened his mouth, said, 'Of a truth, I perceive that God is no respecter of persons, ³⁵ but in every nation he who is fearing Him, and is working righteousness, is acceptable to Him;

¹⁷ that the residue of men may seek after the Lord, and all the nations, upon whom My name has been called, said the Lord, who is doing all these things. ¹⁸ 'Known from the ages to God are all His works;

¹ I call upon you, therefore, brethren, through the compassions of God, to present your bodies a sacrifice -- living, sanctified, acceptable to God -- your intelligent service;

⁹ and the nations for kindness to glorify God, according as it has been written, 'Because of this I will confess to You among nations, and to Your name I will sing praise,' ¹⁰ and again it says, 'Rejoice you nations, with His people;' ¹¹ and again, 'Praise the Lord, all you nations; and laud Him, all you peoples;'

¹⁶ for my being a servant of Jesus Christ to the nations, acting as priest in the good news of God, that the offering up of the nations may become acceptable, sanctified by the Holy Spirit.

¹⁸ and I have all things, and abound; I am filled, having received from Epaphroditus the things from you -- an odour of a sweet smell -- a sacrifice acceptable, well-pleasing to God:

⁸ I wish, therefore, that men pray in every place, lifting up kind hands, apart from anger and reasoning;

¹⁵ through him, then, we may offer up a sacrifice of praise always to God, that is, the fruit of lips, giving thanks to His name; ¹⁶ and of doing good, and of fellowship, be not forgetful, for with such sacrifices God is well-pleased.

⁸ And when he took the scroll, the four living creatures and the twenty-four elders fell before the Lamb, having each one harps and golden vials full of perfumes, which are the prayers of the saints,

³ And another messenger did come, and he stood at the altar, having a golden censer, and there was given to him much perfume, that he may give it to the prayers of all the saints upon the golden altar that is before the throne, ⁴ and go up did the smoke of the perfumes to the prayers of the saints out of the hand of the messenger, before God;

¹⁵ And the seventh messenger did sound, and there came great voices in the heaven, saying, 'The kingdoms of the world did become those of our Lord and of His Christ, and he shall reign to the ages of the ages!'

⁴ who may not fear You, O Lord, and glorify Your name? because You alone are kind, because all the nations shall come and bow before You, because Your righteous acts were manifested.'

²⁴ for the name of God because of you is evil spoken of among the nations, according as it has been written.

¹ 'Take heed your kindness not to do before men, to be seen by them, and if not -- reward you have not from your Father who is in the heavens; ² whenever, therefore, you may do kindness, you may not sound a trumpet before you as the hypocrites do, in the synagogues, and in the streets, that they may have glory from men; verily I say to you -- they have their reward!

⁵ 'And when you may pray, you shall not be as the hypocrites, because they love in the synagogues, and in the corners of the broad places -- standing -- to pray, that they may be seen of men; verily I say to you, that they have their reward.

¹⁶ 'And when you may fast, be you not as the hypocrites, of sour countenances, for they disfigure their faces, that they may appear to men fasting; verily I say to you, that they have their reward.

⁴ and there were certain much displeased within themselves, and saying, 'For what has this waste of the ointment been made? ⁵ for this could have been sold for more than three hundred denaries, and given to the poor;' and they were murmuring at her.

³⁷ And he comes, and finds them sleeping, and said to Peter, 'Simon, you do sleep! you were not able to watch one hour! ³⁸ Watch you and pray, that you may not enter into temptation; the spirit indeed is forward, but the flesh weak.'

³⁵ nor by the earth, because it is His footstool, nor by Jerusalem, because it is a city of a great king,

⁵¹ and will cut him off, and his portion with the hypocrites will appoint; there shall be the weeping and the gnashing of the teeth.

⁴¹ And Jesus having sat down across from the treasury, was beholding how the multitude did put brass into the treasury, and many rich were putting in much, ⁴² and having come, a poor widow did put in two mites, which are a farthing. ⁴³ And having called near his disciples, he said to them, 'Verily I say to you, that this poor widow has put in more than all those putting into the treasury; ⁴⁴ for all, out of their abundance, put in, but she, out of her want, all that she had put in -- all her living.'

⁸ what she could she did, she anticipated to anoint my body for the embalming.

¹ At which time the myriads of the multitude having been gathered together, so as to tread upon one another, he began to say unto his disciples, first, 'Take heed to yourselves of the leaven of the Pharisees, which is hypocrisy; ² and there is nothing covered, that shall not be revealed; and hid, that shall not be known;

⁴⁶ the lord of that servant will come in a day in which he does not look for him, and in an hour that he does not know, and will cut him off, and his portion with the unfaithful he will appoint.

¹ And a certain man, Ananias by name, with Sapphira his wife, sold a possession, ² and did keep back of the price -- his wife also knowing -- and having brought a certain part, at the feet of the apostles he laid it. ³ And Peter said, 'Ananias, therefore did the Adversary fill your heart, for you to lie to the Holy Spirit, and to keep back of the price of the place? ⁴ while it remained, did it not remain yours? and having been sold, in your authority was it not? why is it that you did put in your heart this thing? you did not lie to men, but to God;' ⁵ and Ananias hearing these words, having fallen down, did expire, and great fear came upon all who heard these things, ⁶ and having risen, the younger men wound him up, and having carried forth, they buried him. ⁷ And it came to pass, about three hours after, that his wife, not knowing what has happened, came in, ⁸ and Peter answered her, 'Tell me if for so much you sold the place;' and she said, 'Yes, for so much.' ⁹ And Peter said unto her, 'How was it agreed by you, to tempt the Spirit of the Lord? lo, the feet of those who did bury your husband are at the door, and they shall carry you forth;' ¹⁰ and she fell down presently at his feet, and expired, and the young men having come in, found her dead, and having carried forth, they buried her by her husband;

¹² for if the willing mind is present, according to that which any one may have it is well-accepted, not according to that which he has not;

¹⁵ which in His own times He shall show -- the blessed and only potentate, the King of the kings and Lord of the lords,

²⁹ for also our God is a consuming fire.

⁸ and to fearful, and unstedfast, and abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all the liars, their part is in the lake that is burning with fire and brimstone, which is a second death.'
